What you can do… DONATE
The Brunswick High Pirate Foundation, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Funding for current and future projects depends on the support of the Pirate Nation, community businesses, and individuals interested in continuing the tradition of excellence at Brunswick High School.
Many companies will match employee donations to tax-exempt charities. Check with your employer to see if they will help. As a reminder, 100% of your donation will go to the intended cause except for bank charges for online giving.
The Pirate Foundation Officers do not take any compensation from the Foundation. In fact, the Officers pay all administrative costs to operate the Foundation.
Ways to give…No contribution is too small
General Donations support the various Foundations projects.
Restricted Donations support projects as specified by the donor. For example, if you want your donation to go to a scholarship, club or particular sport, you can indicate your preference along with your donation.
FaceBook now allows you to create a fundraiser. You can create an online fundraiser for your birthday and challenge your friends to help out via online donations. Its a great way to generate interest and support out kids. Please contact us if you have any questions.
The Pirate Foundation is able to accept donations by checks mailed directly to the foundation or by online payments. Contact us for cash donations. Cash donations should not be mailed.
For donations by check – Please enclose a letter (or note) providing the following information:
Donor Name and mailing address. If an alumni, please indicate your class.
Business owners – provide full name of company, contact and mailing address.

Sponsors: The kids are always involved in extracurricular activities that need support either from direct monetary donations or from advertising sponsors. Golf tournaments, competition tournaments, practice uniforms, programs, and many other options are available for businesses and corporate sponsorships. Historically, it has been difficult to find new opportunities and partners for additional support. We hope to use the Foundation to develop a list of folks who are interested in helping. We will be reaching out to the alumni and business community for new partners and you contact usfor more information.

If you believe an error has been made in connection with your online donation, please contact us at
donations@bhspirate4life.com. We will be happy to assist you in correcting any error, or make any appropriate
refund. If you change your mind for any reason, we are happy to honor your decision as long as your refund is requested
within 14 calendar days of the donation.

• Refunds will be returned using the original method of payment except cash donations, which will be returned via check. If a
credit card was used for the original donation, the same card will be credited with the refund.
Privacy Statement
Brunswick High Pirate Foundation, Inc. respects and protects your privacy. We will never sell or rent your personal information to other individuals or companies. When you make a donation, your name may be included in our newsletters and other company
publications. If you do not wish to share your name or you choose to make your donation anonymously, please notify us at the time of the donation and the we will not publish your name. When you donate to the Pirate Foundation, you will receive an acknowledgement of your donation for your records. You may receive periodic updates on organizational events. If you do not wish to hear from us, please contact us with your request.
